Ass. Prof. Sahar Foad Ghannam

Dr. Ghannam graduated in 1983 from Alexandria University, Egypt (grade: very good), with a Master Degree in Dermatology, Venereology, and Andrology in 1986. She earned a PhD in 1994, with a thesis on Aging and Photoaging and Ionizing Radiation on the Skin. In 1995, a board examination was passed to successfully achieve the Doctorate Degree in Dermatology, Venereology, and Andrology.

During that time, Dr. Ghannam advanced through university positions from Assistant Lecturer up to Associate Professor at Alexandria University. Since 2005, she has been running and operating her own center.

Dr. Ghannam performs a wide range of cosmetic procedures and energy-based device (EBD) treatments, but a significant portion of her practice is also dedicated to general dermatology. She is also a world expert on chemical peels, especially in ethnic skin.

She is a reviewer for Dermatologic Surgery journals, the Aesthetic Dermatology Journal, and the Indian Journal of Dermatology.

Dr. Ghannam authored the chapter on “Chemical Peels” in the Dermatologic Surgery textbook, among many other publications. She travels extensively for lecturing, teaching, and also to learn.

Dr. Mukta Sachdev

She is one of the leading practicing MD dermatologists, studied and trained extensively in India and abroad. With two decades of clinical experience in medical, aesthetic, and cosmetic dermatology, she has extensive experience in lasers and devices. Presently, she is the Head of the Department of Dermatology at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, India.

Dr. Mukta runs a niche boutique dermatology clinic, MS Skin Centre in Bangalore, along with a team of expert dermatologists. She has significant research experience and is the Medical Director of a state-of-the-art dermatology cutaneous research and testing facility, MS Clinical Research (MSCR).

She also spearheads India’s first expert skin and hair care online boutique store, The Skin Store. Her expertise in understanding skin of colour has led to the conceptualisation of Prescriptive Facials, non-invasive rejuvenating therapies that are customised to suit everyone’s individual skin needs.

Prof. Leonardo Marinl

Dr. Marini concluded his training as a General Surgeon in 1987 and as a Dermatologist in 1989. He decided to synergistically combine these two specialties together and became a Dermatologic Surgeon after further specific training in the US, Australia, Germany, and France.

He is currently the Medical Director of SDC – The Skin Doctors’ Center of Trieste, Italy and served as Professor of Laser Dermatology at the University of Siena, Parma, and Verona.

His primary interests are the surgical management of skin cancer with Mohs’ micrographic surgery, advanced dermatological applications of lasers and energy sources, advanced photodynamic therapy, and aesthetic dermatology.

Dr. Marini is the Chairman of the Task Force for Laser Dermatology of the European Academy of Dermatology. He proudly served as Founder President of ESLD – the European Society of Dermatology, established in Trieste (Italy) in 1996, and President of ESCAD – the European Society of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dermatology.

He has been nominated Honorary President of the Hellenic Society of Dermatologic Surgery in 2009. In 2010, he was appointed Master Co-ordinator for the International Observational Preceptorship Training Programme offered by ESCAD.

Dr. Marini also serves as an executive member of the board of many national and international scientific societies such as DASIL, European LED Academy, ESMS, ILAD, SIFCS.

Dr. Marini has published numerous scientific peer-reviewed papers in international medical journals and book chapters.

Prof. Hassan Galadari

An American board-certified graduate of the Boston University/Tufts University dermatology program in the USA, Dr. Galadari completed a dermatologic surgery and laser fellowship at the University of California–San Francisco and is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

He is a member of numerous committees in many international societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the Secretary General of the International Society of Dermatology, as well as the former Secretary General of the International League of Dermatological Societies, a body that represents 200,000 dermatologists worldwide.

He is currently an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences of United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). His main area of interest is cosmetic dermatology, particularly in the field of soft tissue augmentation.

He has lectured in numerous international congresses, published in many peer-reviewed journals, authored book chapters, as well as a best-selling book, Soft Tissue Augmentation: Principles and Practice, which was translated into Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese.

Prof. Firas Al-Niaimi

World-Renowned Professor

Professor Firas Al-Niaimi is a highly experienced and respected consultant dermatologist with over 20 years of medical experience. He trained in some of the UK’s top hospitals, including the world-renowned St John’s Institute of Dermatology at St Thomas’ Hospital. He completed a prestigious laser and Mohs surgical fellowship there and continued to work as an honorary consultant for several years, in addition to further advanced training in several laser centres in the USA.

In addition to his busy private practice in exclusive London areas, he is involved in academic research and the international teaching and training of doctors, having so far trained over a thousand doctors around the world in advanced laser treatments.

He was awarded the Global Excellence Award for the title Consultant Dermatologist of the Year twice in 2019 and 2022 for his services and commitment to dermatology and the laser field.

In 2021, he was appointed Professor of Dermatology and became the first and only Professor of Laser Dermatology in the UK, and is therefore the face of UK laser dermatology around the world.

Prof. Ashraf Badawi

Dr. Ashraf Badawi is currently a Visiting Professor of Dermatology at Szeged University, Hungary.

Dr. Badawi has graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt in 1992. In 1997, he obtained the MSc degree in Dermatology and Venereology, followed by a Diploma in Laser Applications in Biology and Medicine in 1998 from Cairo University too. In 2001, Dr. Badawi obtained a Diploma in General Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University.

In 2007, Dr. Badawi received a PhD degree in Laser Applications in Dermatology from the National Institute of Laser Enhanced Sciences, Cairo University, Egypt. In 2011, Dr. Badawi obtained a second PhD in Clinical Medical Sciences from Szeged University, Hungary.

During his career path, Dr. Badawi has actively participated in more than 300 international dermatology conferences with lectures and workshops. Within the past 15 years, he was directly involved in training of more than 3500 dermatologists all over the world for Laser Applications in Dermatology.
